Juvenile dies after shooting in Clarksville; Search for multiple suspects underway

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A juvenile involved in Saturday night’s shooting at the Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds has died from their injuries, the Clarksville Police Department reported on Sunday morning.
According to police, off-duty officers reported hearing gunshots coming from the parking lot near the Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds entrance around 9:10 p.m.

Officers quickly responded to the scene. When they arrived, they found a male juvenile, 15, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Witnesses told police that there were five to six men seen running from the scene toward Hazelwood Road after the shooting.
Police believe this shooting was an isolated incident. Officials said this remains an active and ongoing investigation.
“The Clarksville Police Department is asking anyone in the immediate area with video surveillance cameras to review their footage. If anything suspicious is observed, please call 911 immediately,” CPD said.
